Last week, I asked for my wife’s thoughts on how the Kingdom of God is a celebration. She wrote some things down and gave them to me. These are her words…

We’re all uniquely, beautifully created by God. All His children. Brothers and sisters – part of the same family.

We celebrate the beauty of God in one another – every time we encounter someone – whether it be a one-time occasion or an ongoing relationship.

We love, no strings attached.

We are having fun, enjoying being together. Our guard is dropped. It’s like being on vacation with each other.

CR (Celebrate Recovery) does this. We’re not trying to fix each other – but we love, accept, hug, compliment…

And we silence the voices of fear and self hatred that are shared.

We’re each other’s bestie.

We preserve the worth, the sacredness of each other… calling out and pointing out to our friends their incredible value and beauty.
